Type 3

The TYPE 3 watches by Ressence embody unconventional design paired with the highest level of watchmaking craftsmanship. The characteristic domed dial can also be found in the TYPE 3. The big difference: in this version, it appears to be directly underneath the glass. The extraordinary visual effect is created by a chamber filled with oil, which gives the watch a tangible, modern aesthetic—similar to that of electronic displays. Similar to the TYPE 1, the design language of a smooth pebble also determines the style of this timepiece. Unlike its predecessor, the lugs here are somewhat flatter and mostly satin-finished instead of polished. 

The oil-filled display minimizes light refraction and ensures perfect readability from any angle. A patented magnetic connection transmits the movement of the caliber from a second, air-filled chamber. This allows the minute information to be transferred to the ROCS (Ressence Orbital Convex System) even though there is a dense titanium membrane between the magnets. The TYPE 3 models also have an additional date display and an oil temperature display. 

The Ressence TYPE 3 collection is also somewhat more daring in its designs: besides classic colors, there is also a model in a vibrant eucalyptus shade available. Nevertheless, the deep black TYPE 3BB2 model in particular is one of the most popular with collectors because it most accurately reflects the special display aesthetic of the design.
