Michel Parmigiani founded Parmigiani Fleurier in 1996. Born in 1950, the master watchmaker worked for many years as a restorer and developed movements for other brands before deciding to create his own watch collection.  

His decades of experience in restoring historical masterpieces formed the foundation for this. 

With the support of the Sandoz Family Foundation, Michel Parmigiani succeeded in establishing a fully integrated manufacture—a unique feature among independent brands. Today, the Parmigiani Fleurier ecosystem includes specialists in movement parts, cases, and dials—all based in Val-de-Travers, Switzerland.  

Under the creative direction of CEO Guido Terreni, Parmigiani Fleurier has been developing in a new design direction since 2021: away from baroque excess and toward subtle modernity. This approach—unpretentious, precise, elegant—appeals to a discerning clientele seeking an expression of style and personality in their timepieces.
