Cartier Watches
In 1904, Louis Cartier fulfilled the special request of the famous Brazilian pilot Alberto Santos Dumont: to read the time while flying. Thus, one of the first wristwatches was born, sealing the friendship between two pioneers.
The spirit of progress is reflected in the unmistakable design language that still makes the Santos one of the most popular watch collections.Â
The Santos is built on four design principles: purity of line, precision of form, perfection of proportion, and refined details. Iconic elements like the visible screws on the bezel and bracelet, the mandatory blue crown, and the rounded dial corners define this legendary watch. It is available in sizes from 38 to 43 mm and features automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 40 hours and water resistance of 3 to 10 bar (30 to 100 meters).
The updated bracelet adapts fluidly to an active lifestyle and is easy to swap out thanks to Cartier’s patented QuickSwitch system. The invisible mechanism is built into the case structure and activated with a simple press.Â
