Watches
Since 1904, Oris has stood for the combination of Swiss craftsmanship and contemporary innovation. As an independent company, Oris creates mechanical watches that meet the highest quality standards while embracing social responsibility.
From sporty Aquis to elegant Artelier models, Oris collections reflect the full range of modern artisanry. Faithful to its roots, Oris distinguishes itself with a sustainable approach that makes the brand truly unique on the global stage.
“Oris is an independent company, which means our values are in good hands. It also means we can be efficient and free to innovate in ways that meet our customers’ needs.”
OrisÂ
Founded in 1904 in Hölstein by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian, Oris has always pursued mechanical precision. Quickly recognized for its technical, practical watches, the brand became a benchmark.Â
In a world of conglomerates, Oris has been independent since the early 1980s and follows its own path with integrity and distinction.Â
Almost 30 years ago, Oris still made quartz watches. Today, it is among the few brands dedicated solely to mechanical timepieces—creative, stylish, and authentic.Â
Oris introduced many groundbreaking ideas, including its first automatic caliber in the 1950s and the recent Oris Calibre 400 with a five-day reserve. Flagship lines like Big Crown and Divers Sixty-Five set new standards in pilot and dive watch segments.Â
Led by Ulrich W. Herzog, the brand continues to embody generational values and a commitment to doing what is right.
Under its “Change for the Better” motto, Oris prioritizes sustainability: eco-friendly materials, ocean conservation partnerships, and responsible manufacturing. The Aquis Date Upcycle with a recycled dial is a perfect example of this forward-looking philosophy.Â
