H. Moser & Cie.
H. Moser & Cie. represents Swiss watchmaking at its finest – uncompromising, independent, and "VERY RARE". Founded in 1828 by Heinrich Moser in Saint Petersburg, the brand has long embodied the pursuit of creating extraordinary timepieces that unite artisanal mastery, technical sophistication, and minimalist design.
The Watchmaking Artistry of H. Moser & Cie.
Timepieces by H. Moser & Cie. are symbols of precision, simplicity, and distinctive character. Whether it’s a flying tourbillon or a fully skeletonized movement, every model reflects meticulous handcrafting and a uniquely bold aesthetic.
A defining hallmark of the Maison lies in its dials—expressive color gradients that often appear without logo or indices. This minimalist approach draws full attention to the interplay of light, color, and material. Each dial’s effect is achieved through elaborate finishing techniques: sunburst brushing reflects light in fine rays, while hammered textures softly diffuse it, giving each hue an inner glow.
A fascinating example of this philosophy is found in the Vantablack® models. Their dials are made from the darkest material known to science, reflecting virtually no light—a radical expression of Moser’s commitment to reduction and purity.
As an independent manufacture, H. Moser & Cie. designs, develops, and produces every movement in-house. Around 100 skilled watchmakers craft approximately 3,000 pieces each year across 18 exclusive calibres. Each timepiece is as rare as it is distinctive—a true work of horological art.
The History of H. Moser & Cie.
Heinrich Moser was born into a long-established family of watchmakers in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. After his apprenticeship under experienced masters, he moved to Russia, where he soon became a preferred supplier to the aristocracy. To further his vision, he eventually returned to Switzerland—the birthplace of the brand that now stands as a symbol of independence and innovation.
Today, H. Moser & Cie. remains a family-run Swiss company, with the descendants of Heinrich Moser continuing his legacy of excellence and ingenuity. This familial continuity ensures not only the brand’s dedication to quality and authenticity but also its unrelenting passion for innovation.
A close partnership also connects the Maison with Bucherer, another heritage Swiss family business. Together they have created exclusive limited editions such as the Bucherer Blue Endeavour with diamond-set bezel and smoky Fumé dial, and the Pioneer Centre Seconds in Amber Sand—both available solely through Bucherer and representing the shared spirit of craftsmanship and rarity.
