Rado

Materials such as hard metal, sapphire crystal, special ceramics, and diamonds set Rado watches apart from other timepieces by well-known high-end brands. Founded in 1917, the prestigious label interprets design as the “external expression of inner perfection.” Nevertheless, the manufacturer defines itself not only by the appearance of its creations, but rather by the history and scope for interpretation that accompanies them. The art of focusing on the essentials continuously drives the development of Rado and its original timepieces, ensuring that the brand remains one of the pioneers in the industry. 

In 1917, the watch manufacturer Schlup & Co. was founded by brothers Fritz, Ernst, and Werner Schlup. Their modest workshop, a converted part of their parents' house, was the birthplace of the company that would later become the luxury watch manufacturer Rado. Despite these modest beginnings, Schlup & Co. was already one of the world's largest producers of watch movements by the end of World War II. In the 1950s, the company began selling watches under the brand name Rado: the beginning of a career that is still characterized today by revolutionary visions and innovative creations.  

Today, Rado is a globally recognized brand, famous for its innovative design and use of revolutionary materials to create some of the most beautiful and durable wristwatches ever made. Since its beginnings in Lengnau, Switzerland, Rado has always demonstrated a pioneering spirit and consistently expressed its brand philosophy: “What we can imagine, we can achieve.”
