Hublot Watches
Big Bang
With the Big Bang, which Hublot first introduced in 2005, the course was set for the Swiss luxury brand's groundbreaking watch creations. The collection is characterized by the fusion of the Maison's excellent craftsmanship and avant-garde ideas.
About the Big Bang Collection
The Big Bang collection brings together a wide variety of materials, some of which have never been used before, to create a unique aesthetic—the so-called "art of fusion."
The series is based on the first Hublot watch, The Hublot, which was introduced in 1980 and set new standards with its radical design. Like the original, the Hublot Big Bang captivates with its "porthole" look inspired by ship windows, which is expressed through the brand's signature round case and a bezel with visible decorative screws. The textured rubber strap, which is attached to separate lugs, was also taken from the historical model and forms a sporty contrast to the high-quality stainless steel or gold cases, which are combined with ceramic, titanium, or other materials. Unlike The Hublot, the Big Bang impresses with more angular lines and offers a more solid appearance overall.
Various sub-collections complement the Hublot Big Bang with luxurious elements, sophisticated complications, or distinctive design details. With diameters ranging from 33 mm to 45 mm, there is a model to suit every wrist size, meaning that Hublot watches can be worn by both men and women.
Big Bang Original
True to its name, the Hublot Big Bang Original is more closely based on the original 2005 design. It features a slimmer construction and minimalist dials in classic black, blue, and white. It also has a slightly more compact and flatter case structure, giving it a more understated look than the more solid Big Bang Unico models.
Technically, the Hublot watches in the Big Bang Original series mainly rely on proven automatic chronograph movements such as the HUB4100 and HUB4300 with a power reserve of 42 hours. The 3-hand models, on the other hand, impress with the HUB2900 quartz movement, which guarantees precision, durability, and a flat appearance.
The simpler design is also reflected in the selection of watches, which focuses on traditional 3-hand watches in addition to balanced chronographs. With sizes ranging from 41 mm to 44 mm, the Hublot Big Bang Original chronographs are particularly suitable for lovers of classic proportions within the striking Hublot aesthetic. The three-hand models, on the other hand, with a case diameter of 38 mm, are particularly suitable for narrower wrists and offer a subtle touch of luxury with diamond-set bezels and lugs.
Big Bang Unico
While the first Hublot watch was equipped with a quartz movement in keeping with the spirit of its time, today's Big Bang series shines primarily with its Unico timepieces: state-of-the-art chronographs featuring the in-house Hublot Big Bang Unico calibre HUB1280. , Hublot created a masterpiece that set new standards with a double clutch system, a column wheel on the dial side, and a power reserve of 72 hours. Some creations testify to the brand's craftsmanship with sophisticated complications such as a perpetual calendar, flyback chronograph, or GMT function. With diameters of 42 or 44 mm, Unico timepieces stand out prominently on the wrist and are available in both classic and vibrant colours. The signature rubber strap can be easily and conveniently replaced on some models using the innovative "One Click" system.
Features such as water resistance up to 100 meters and multi-layered stainless steel cases with carbon or titanium elements give the various Hublot Big Bang Unico watches their robustness and make them suitable for everyday use. The skeletonized dials emphasize the Maison's craftsmanship and add a touch of sophistication. More luxurious versions are made from Hublot "King Gold"—an innovative alloy of gold and platinum that captivates with its warm hue. The Hublot Big Bang Integrated models offer even more elegance with an integrated bracelet that blends seamlessly into the case. This modified architecture creates a flatter, more harmonious look and a comfortable fit, while retaining the iconic "porthole" design.
Big Bang 3-hand
In addition to the expressive chronographs, the Hublot Big Bang collection also offers a wide selection of classic 3-hand watches. These feature the innovative One-Click interchangeable system, which allows quick replacement between different leather, rubber, or textile straps—guaranteeing even more versatility and a personal touch for each timepiece.
In contrast to the sporty chronographs, the Hublot Big Bang 3-hand models are more compact and available in either 33 mm or 39 mm diameters. The lugs are also narrower, giving them an elegant contour. Technically, the Big Bang watches are equipped with unique, powerful movements typical of Hublot. The smaller versions feature the HUB1120 automatic movement with a power reserve of 40 hours, while the 39 mm versions feature the HUB1710, which impresses with a power reserve of 50 hours.
The collection includes versions with cases made of stainless steel, completely transparent "sapphire"—a specially developed, more robust sapphire crystal—or Hublot's iconic "King Gold" alloy. Some offer additional refinements such as diamond-set bezels or diamond dials in a pavé pattern, impressively demonstrating the brand's innovative strength and its "art of fusion" approach.
Big Bang MECA-10
The Big Bang portfolio is regularly expanded with special editions that create new creative and technical highlights. Particularly outstanding are models featuring the Hublot MECA-10 calibre—a manufacture movement with a power reserve of ten days. Visually, the line captivates with its skeletonized, industrial design and unique construction with a ring-shaped base on which the bridges are mounted. Even more exclusive are the tourbillon versions, which highlight Hublot's watchmaking expertise and impress with very special material fusions of rubber or textile with titanium and special sapphire crystal. Individual models are crafted from unique, translucent Saxem—a high-tech material made from sapphire crystal, aluminum oxide, and rare earths. Open dials reveal the delicate tourbillon, while inside, the precise HUB6035 manufacture movement operates with a power reserve of 72 hours.
