Watches
The timeless elegance of Longines watches is based on an aesthetic heritage that is regularly renewed in a subtle blend of classic design and innovative refinement. Since 1832, the Maison has stood for precise timekeeping, distinctive design, and craftsmanship excellence.
The brand with the winged hourglass logo enjoys a high reputation worldwide, thanks in part to its unique combination of classic elegance and a constant pursuit of cutting-edge technology.
Longines has been based in Saint-Imier (Switzerland) since 1832. Since its founding by Auguste Agassiz, Longines' watchmaking artistry has reflected the brand's deeply rooted values of tradition, elegance, and excellence. Shortly thereafter, his nephew Ernest Francillon took over and in 1867 introduced production at a factory site called “Es Longines”, which gave the brand its name, which it still bears today.
With the introduction of serial numbers and the winged hourglass logo, the brand also created effective protection against counterfeiting. Since its registration in 1889, it has remained the oldest unchanged registered trademark in the watch industry and a symbol of tradition and innovation.
As part of Swatch Group S.A., the world's most influential watch manufacturer, the brand is now known worldwide for the elegance of its timepieces and is represented in over 140 countries.
In addition, Longines has generations of experience as the official timekeeper for world championships and as a partner to various international sports associations. Today, this primarily includes the world of alpine skiing as the official timekeeper for the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Tour and the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, as well as various equestrian tournaments.
One of the brand's specialties is Longines x Bucherer BLUE. The Bucherer BLUE project is the culmination of a long-standing collaboration between Longines and Bucherer. The anniversary watches developed as part of this project feature the color that connects both companies: a deep blue that stands for elegance and timelessness—two essential cornerstones for both companies. The Longines Bucherer BLUE models are available in a women's and a men's version with diameters of 36 and 40 millimeters, respectively, and feature an automatic movement. They were developed as part of The Longines Master Collection, the Swiss watch brand's most successful series worldwide.
